Is Wiener Weinwandertag free?

Yes. Walking the routes is free; you pay only for food, wine, and any Pfand at stations.

Do I need to register?

No registration, no timed slot, no wristband.

Which day is quieter?

Both days run 10:00–18:00 on the same four routes. Sunday often feels a notch calmer than Saturday peak — I walked Saturday and planned Öffis like it mattered.

Can I bring kids / a stroller?

Yes on marked Kinderwagen Abschnitte (brochure maps). Ottakring’s 2.4 km loop is officially not stroller-friendly. Magdalenenhof has a family / Kinderbauernhof cue on the 21er.

Yes on leash; pick up waste. Same rules as any working Weingarten day.

Is there an Oberlaa route in 2026?

No dedicated Oberlaa Weinwandertag route this year.

What if I miss the weekend?

Use the year-round Vienna wine hikes hub for non-event walks, or plan a Thermenregion Heuriger day via Gumpoldskirchen.
